Psilocybe cyanescens is one of the most popular kinds of magic mushrooms. In the 1940’s, it was described from Kew Gardens in United Kingdom by E. M. Wakefield. The magic mushroom was later given the common name “the wavy-cap.” There is a surprising amount of ambiguity about the legal status of Psilocybe mushrooms, as well as a pronounced tendency toward selective enforcement in many countries, states, territories and provinces.
