a description of an hallucinogenic trip involving magic mushrooms
From the 13th to the 15th century, the Vienna Codex depicted the ceremonial use of fungi by the Mixtec gods, showing Piltzintecuhtli and seven other gods holding mushrooms in their hands. These were most likely representations of magic mushrooms.

Extremely poisonous wild picked mushrooms can be easily mistaken for non-poisonous magic mushrooms. Many deadly and poisonous species of mushrooms look like some of the hallucinogenic mushrooms in the genus Psilocybe on the surface.
News: Youtube Poop: Big Poop in Little Gamelon
June 21, 2008
Okay, this is my first pooper and I finished it in a day- so please don’t judge it too harshly. This is more of a test of what I can do in Sony Vegas. So without further ado, here is the story so far:It was a cold winter’s day and Mario was taking a stroll through the Mushroom Kingdom. He happened upon an odd pipe, unlike anything he had ever seen before. In a leap of faith, he hurled himself through the pipe and landed/reversed/landed/landed/landed in an unknown land. Luigi, who happened to be standing nearby, rushed to his aid with a moronic grin on his face. Little did Luigi know that Jack Thompson was also nearby, and was ready to fire a lawsuit warhead at the two brothers. The explosion flung the Mushroom Kingdom through a whirlwind of time and space, and was never seen again in this episode. One month later, the King was making passes at Link before losing interest and flipping on the tube. After quickly scanning through the channels, some wizard flew in on a magic carpet and warned the King of the ever-growing army of the Tayites. The King quickly reasoned that the best way to defeat this reign of chocolate terror would be to seduce him and give him AIDS.As Tay sat in his castle surrounded by cheerleaders who had dropped out of high school, singing to the walls around him, plotting his attack, the King lurked outside. After cutting the power, the King burst into the castle and in a hostile voice said, “AIDS.” Then… Paul Fetch. To be Continued…Credits:Various sources: CDI footage, different wav files, and other files I’m too lazy to think of after writing the above story.Reference: The “bebebe” scene from Deepercutt’s “$tatic 5hock the rip-off of electro.” I used the song “Baby I’m drunk” by Reverend Horton Heat.Special thanks: Deepercutt
According to Dr. Karl L. R. Jansen, there is not any firm evidence that magic mushroom flashbacks can or do occur. However, in 1973 Dr. Hall reported that a number of magic mushroom users had been experiencing recurring flashbacks that were similar to flashbacks which were associated with LSD consumption. Dr. Hall was the Principal Research Officer of the Narcotics Section of the Commonwealth Police Force in Canberra, Australia at the time.
A stronger sense of identity, a personal conviction of religious enlightenment, and a feeling of intimacy with all of nature are all possible positive long term mental effects of magic mushrooms.

The greatest diversity of the hallucinogenic species of Psilocybe mushrooms seems to be observed in the neotropics, particularly in the Central Americas and in the countries of Brazil and Chile. Many of the Psilocybe mushrooms found in these temperate regions, such as Psilocybe cyanescens, tend to grow in landscaped areas mulched with woodchips and are actually rather rare in natural settings that are far from places inhabited by humans.
With the exception of high deserts, almost all types of environments found around the world are able to support at the very least several of species of magic mushrooms.
Must see Video: Graham Hancock on psychedelics
Graham Hancock (born August 2, 1950) is a British writer and journalist. His books include Lords of Poverty, The Sign and the Seal, Fingerprints of the Gods, Keeper of Genesis (US name: The Message of the Sphinx), The Mars Mystery, Heaven’s Mirror (with wife Santha Faiia), Underworld: The Mysterious Origins of Civilization, and Talisman: Sacred Cities, Secret Faith (with co-author Robert Bauval). He also wrote and presented the Channel 4 documentaries Underworld: Flooded Kingdoms of the Ice Age and Quest for the Lost Civilisation. His most recent book, Supernatural: Meetings With the Ancient Teachers of Mankind, was released in the UK in October, 2005 and in the US in 2006. In it, Hancock examines paleolithic cave art in the light of David Lewis-Williams’ neuropsychological model, exploring its relation to the development of the fully-modern human mind.Hancock’s chief areas of interest are ancient mysteries, stone monuments or megaliths, ancient myths and astronomical/astrological data from the past. One of the main themes running through many of his books is the possible global connection with a ‘mother culture’ from which he believes all ancient historical civilizations sprang. Although his books have sold more than five million copies worldwide and have been translated into twenty-seven languages, his methods and conclusions have found little support among academics. Often criticised for being a pseudoarchaeologist, Hancock, who freely admits he has no formal training in archaeology, sees himself as providing a counterbalance to what he perceives as the ‘unquestioned’ acceptance and support given to orthodox views by the education system, the media, and by society at large.[1]Basing his argument on the 1958 book The Earth’s Shifting Crust by Prof. Charles Hapgood, Hancock argues that sections of the earth’s crust are capable of suddenly shifting their location relative to the underlying mantle. He points to evidence of temperate plants and animals that were apparently “flash-frozen” in areas that are now frigid but were once much warmer. In approximately 11,600 BC, according to Hancock, a sudden cataclysm shifted Antarctica to the south by about 2000 miles. Hancock feels that prior to this event Antarctica may have supported a human civilization whose habitations, including cities, are now buried in Antarctic ice. Citing similarities in the lore of the world’s ancient civilizations, Hancock argues that mariners representing this ancient civilization then travelled the world to found the world’s ancient civilizations.

In the Netherlands, unprepared Psilocybe mushrooms are legal to possess, and are treated as soft drugs under the Netherlands’ drug laws. Dried Psilocybe mushrooms can be obtained in “smart shops” which specialize in ethnobotanicals. Psilocybe mushrooms, whether dried or fresh, used to be legal until 2001, when the Supreme Court of the Netherlands ruled dry mushrooms to be an illegal preparation of psilocybin and psilocin.
