In Amsterdam Trippin’ On Shrooms
July 30, 2008
Me mate walking next to a canal in Amsterdam after eating a magic mushroom.
Psilocybe mushrooms preserved in honey are a topic for debate among mushroom enthusiasts. According to some people, mushrooms in honey maintain their potency much better than those which are dried or frozen, especially if placed in honey just after being picked. Others claim that this is not a good method because bacteria have a tendency to form in this mixture with age.
The most notable species of the genus Psilocybe are the following: Psilocybe cubensis or “the commercial psilocybe,” Psilocybe semilanceata or “the liberty cap,” Psilocybe cyanescens” or “the wavy cap,” and Psilocybe azurescens or “azies.”
