Psilocybe mushrooms are either eaten fresh which supposedly produces the most powerful experiences, or dried and consumed at a later date. Psilocybin and psilocin are listed as Schedule I drugs under the United Nations 1971 Convention on Psychotropic Substances. Thus, the ownership and subsequent personal dealings with Psilocybe mushrooms is therefore prohibited by extension.
