The species Psilocybe semilanceata is fairly commonplace, and can normally be found in northern temperate climates. This species of magic mushrooms is able to thrive throughout the cool temperate and sub arctic regions of the Northern Hemisphere. It is most common in Europe, Russia, India, Peru and the Pacific Northwest United States and Northeastern North America.
