Introduces the novice shroom hunter to the basics of field identification!Shroomhunter 101 focuses on members of the genus Psilocybe (MAGIC MUSHROOMS), which can be found in urban and suburban environments!

The word psilocybe is derived from the Greek words “psilos” bare and “kube” head, and literally means “bare headed.” This meaning refers to the mushroom’s plain cap. It is acceptable to pronounce the word with the accent either on the first syllable or on the second. The final “e” is not silent.
